Support for Parents of Children with ADHD

Traditional parenting strategies don’t always work when ADHD is part of the equation - but you can learn what does.

With Anchored in Calm, you learn practical tools that will help your child thrive and your family feel connected.

No more power struggles. Just clear strategies and steady support.

You don’t have to navigate this alone. Let’s anchor your family in understanding, connection and calm.

You are in the right place if…

  • You feel like you have tried everything, but nothing works

  • Simple routines turn into daily battles

  • You’re exhausted from repeating yourself

  • You question whether you are being too strict… or not strict enough

  • You love your child deeply - but some days feel overwhelming

If this sounds familiar, you are not failing.

You’re parenting a child with an ADHD brain - and that requires a different compass

Meet Your Coach

Hi, I’m Erika Shanik, PT, ADHD Parent Coach.

I’m a pediatric physical therapist with 24 years of experience supporting children and families through school-based and early intervention services. I’ve spent my career helping children build skills, confidence, and participation in their everyday environments while collaborating closely with families, teachers, and other professionals.

I’m also a mom to two wonderful girls who teach me every day about patience, flexibility, and unconditional love.

My path to ADHD parent coaching is both personal and professional. As the parent of a daughter with ADHD and a physical therapist to many children with ADHD, I know how overwhelming it can feel to navigate challenges at home, at school, and in everyday life. After consulting with many professionals, it was an ADHD parent coach who I felt understood our family in a way I hadn’t experienced before. That experience inspired me to complete the ADHD Parent Coach Academy Training through PTS Coaching and create Anchored in Calm Coaching.

I love connecting with parents and helping them understand that when traditional parenting approaches aren’t working, it doesn’t mean they’re doing something wrong. Children with ADHD often need different strategies—and parents deserve support as they learn what works for their child.

You don’t need to parent harder.
You need strategies that work for your child—and support while you learn them.
